ABOUT ME

Neva has around 15 years of experience in shaping markets and policy. She is a community champion and is a public commentator.

​

Business leader: Neva is a global marketing manager in a world leading crop protection company. Working with teams across more than 90 countries, she helps bring innovations and technologies to farmers that support food security by helping manage pests pressures. In the UK alone, her work forms part of a sector that contributed £128.3 billion or 6.3% to national Gross Value Added in 2021. She has also led the crop science industry trade association as committee Chairman and represented the industry at global platforms, such as COP27.

Experienced policy-maker: working with local and national governments, international organisations and think-tanks around the world, she has shaped policies and international negotiations. She served as Secretary General of a centre-right grouping in the EU that included the UK Conservative Party, where she fought for localism, small-government, lower taxes and other Conservative values on the international stage. She represented over 40 conservative local and regional politicians from across 9 countries and led a team of advisors. She helped build global alliances, including with Republican Mayors. She enabled the sharing of best-practices with international allies, including Ukraine. She has been affiliated with influential think tanks, such as CSIS in Washington D.C. and Localis in London.

Community champion: she helped re-open a local community centre by organising a fundraiser that helped raise funds needed refurbish the premises after the opposition run local Council refused support. She organised community events in London on mental health awareness, in light of the reports around self-harm. She led aid efforts in her community to Ukraine. She has also fundraised for the local hospital to boost its capacity to provide cancer services. She has championed grassroots views to the heart of government in her roles in the Conservative Policy Forum, from being a county-wide Chairman to a national Champion.

 

Experienced campaigner: She has stood in UK national elections and led winning campaigns. She served for two terms as Runnymede and Weybridge Conservative Association Chairman — building winning teams and helping keep Runnymede Borough Council Conservative, while also providing support nationally. She was the Conservative parliamentary candidate in Garston and Halewood in the December 2019 General Election, where she fought Labour and campaigned against anti-semitism. Her campaign work led to the incumbent Labour MP joining her in taking a public stand. In the May 2019 European elections, she stood as a Conservative candidate for South East England representing the party in hustings across the region. She is a board member of Conservative Friends of Turkey and has led community outreach. She has also helped increase women’s engagement in politics. She set-up and chaired a successful Conservative Women's Organisation in her association and helped get more women into public office.

She holds a masters degree from LSE (London School of Economics and Political Sciences) and attended the University of Kent, Canterbury and SciencesPo Paris for her undergraduate studies. She has completed executive training at Harvard Business School.
